On Saturday, June 18th, I was honored to have been named 2005 Mrs. Boone County. Women are nominated based on their contributions to the community, and then are judged during an private interview and onstage questions. I was thrilled and honored to be chosen from among thirteen wonderful contestants. 

Just after winning!  This is my daughter Abby, and son Alex is in the background.  I think this is my favorite photo of the evening. Abby immediately asked if she can wear the tiara on her wedding day.  I MIGHT loan it to her! Ha!

“I just realized I’m eating chocolates AND wearing a tiara!” Local chocolatiers Donaldson’s and David Alan both donated the most awesome chocolates in my gift basket.  This is as good as it gets! My daughter Shelby is in the purple shirt.
